Acceptable Use Policy
EmailVerifier checks whether email addresses are safe to send to. To keep it useful, and to keep our mail servers trusted by the rest of the internet, you agree to the following.
- Check addresses you have a legitimate reason to contact, for example your own leads, customers and sign-ups.
- Use the website, API and MCP server within your daily allowance.
- Use the service to harvest or guess addresses at scale, or to send unsolicited bulk email.
- Probe addresses to harass anyone, or to attack or overload a mail server.
- Share, resell or publish your API keys, create accounts to get extra allowance, or try to bypass limits.
- Use disposable email addresses to sign up.
We connect to the recipient's mail server and ask whether it would accept the address. We never send a message. Results can be wrong: some servers accept everything or refuse to say, and we label those risky or unknown rather than guess. We keep the addresses you check, the verdict and the time, so you can see your history. We do not store message content, because none is ever sent.
We may rate limit, suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, and we may refuse to check addresses at a domain whose owner asks us to stop.
This is a short plain-language policy, not legal advice. Have your own terms and privacy policy reviewed before launch.
